Don has had many roles in the OA and in Boy Scouts that he held proudly before running for Section Chief. They were: Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 10 and 12, SPL of the National Jamboree Contingent (Troop 1921), Chapter Chief, Venturing President, Lodge Chief, and Section Secretary. Don is looking forward to this year and making Section SR-6N proud of the work he will do for them this year. I have held positions such as SPL, JASM, PL, and OA Troop Representative. I am a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow from Talligewi Lodge 62 of the Lincoln Heritage Council in Louisville, KY. I have served as the Unit Elections Chairman for the Lodge, the Lodge Secretary and I will finish my third term as Lodge Chief at the end of 2007. This is the first Section Office that I have held. My main goals for this year are to do three Section Visits and for the Section to come together and hold a successful Conclave in the spring. I look forward to getting the opportunity to meeting as many people as I can from our great Section in the upcoming year. I grew up playing football and soccer. I joined scouting in first grade, received my Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout. I joined Troop 92 and was actively involved receiving my Eagle in November of 2003. In high school I participated in Football, Wrestling, Soccer, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I joined the Sequoyah Lodge Order of the Arrow in May of 2002 receive my brotherhood in May of 2003 and my Vigil in September of 2005. I held the position of Lodge Secretary for two years. I am currently the Vigil Chief of Sequoyah Lodge 184, and the Section Secretary of SR-6N. I have worked at summer camp for couple summers, but this past summer I attended two OA high adventure programs and plan to attend the third in summer 2008. I am currently a student at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. |
